There is no "magic bullet" for most disorders in life -- there are better treatments, as I have learned -- Seroquel works to a better degree for my problems, it also has done things that I can't go back and change.

But for the time being, and that has been a bit longer of a time being than I wanted, it suppresses a severe anxiety disorder whose origin is unknown.

I'm not still quite sure what role the Namenda ( memantine) would play for you -- I mean I think a number of us seek the absolute right drug, but there is no such thing.

Life is imperfect but it doesn't mean that one has to always feel suffering and certainly doesn't mean that one has to blame oneself for where they are.

I know you have been in a hospital for a long time, far longer than I know of any person in this country would ever stay in a hospital, it just isn't a concept, I don't wish to depress you but it would require probably over a million dollars.

On that regards, it may come off sounding Pollyanna to save hope, but that really is the thing -- the key is to find the minimum amount of medications, not sidebars, unless they're necessary, and to give a good trial to them. And hope comes from within, its not something that someone can give you. Its something that you build up with self-esteem.

They're quite powerful drugs, that's a truism, but I and I'm sure other people who have been through neuroleptic experiences know that they are.

There isn't always a "last chance". That's the anxiety I personally feel coming from you, its just an observation -- there are things that maybe your doctors haven't been yet aggressive enough (with plenty of due caution), or have found the right mix.

-- best wishes

Jay
