I would be cautious with Keppra -- it can cause psychosis in some people.Trileptal is certainly safer than Tegretol, I guess I didn't have the same experience, but I don't recall, it either messed up something in my medication combination, or I was just experiencing something as a part of my disorder, so I didnt pursue further at the time.
Lamictal is a fairly good antidepressant, it just takes a loooong time to get to a good measure, basically because you dont want not the petit rash, but THE RASH, aka SJS, Steven-Johnson Syndrome.
That's why the first initial low doses are to test if you get sebhorreic reactions and going up slower has been shown to prevent SJS more.
