srsly though venlafaxine is a WEAK inhibitor of norepinepherine. It isn't a good substitute for a real nri.
IF you can't easily afford atomoxetine, bupropion is a decent drug. For a cheap (and very effective) nri, look into desipramine or Nortriptaline.
Are you paying much for the venlafaxine? I remember a year ago when i was on it it was pretty expensive although i didn't have insurance. You could replace it with a sri like sertraline, in combination with an nri or stimulant and save $$ and it woudl also be more effective probably. Same thing with just taking amitriptyline.
