Hospital are not places you want to go unless you're flat out suicidal or in danger of harming others or it is in connection with a day treatment program.

As my psychologist mused, you really might as well check yourself into a hotel.

Taking yourself away from the familiarity of the environment that you're used to living in and going into a situation where depending on the level of care you might see a doctor a couple of times a day and a nurse a few times. It all depends on the state of care that is going on at the hospital and the worst of them are notorious for being, well, not exactly JCAHO quality.

So she said up luvox. Change me from valium to xanax hoping after having been off it for years it will again work.

There's a good chance that if you have been off a benzodiazepine for years it will work again, but then again you're still on some perpetually low dose of Valium, so its hard to say.

And yes, do stick to the Luvox if she suggested it -- Cymbalta and other agents are more powerful for TRD but if she thinks Luvox will help you and you have gotten up to a small level on it before, give it a try, expect it to have side effects, and allow the level to be raised to something therapeutic, Jan.

Also she gave me this med Arnrix supposed to be some flexaril and something else for spasms and pain as my back is horrible. But read insert and says not to take if hyperthyroid and I'm still that so what to do.

There are a lot of things in inserts that will make reference to particular disorders, that doesn't mean its an absolute. I assume she is aware of your medical history or wouldn't have prescribed it to you? Do be forthwart about your medical history and concerns and make sure that you're not passive in your sessions.

Down 35 pounds now. Lighter than in 20's . Not to say didn't want to lose weight but not like this and diet the same. thanks Phillipa

I wish I could say the same about weight... Sometimes you just have to look on the amusement side of things that aren't terribly amusing, in fact serious, because life isn't worth living stalwart.
