> Well, as an update... my psychiatrist, who is awesome, is happy about the fact that the "physical" symptoms of Social Phobia seemed to have been permanently diminished, if not cured. But the feeling of always being watched, analyzed, evaluated, etc., has a paranoid component to the Social Phobia, he says.
I think it's a bad idea theorically (as you already know) AND pratically (as you ALSO already should know) .. that said your social phobia could be atypical in some ways and you could react diffently from other social phobic who tried APs ... I guess it's what your Pdoc has in mind. But I don't think the probability of benefits is worth the risk of trying Risperdal. Have you ever tried APs in the past ? Risperdal scrapped my *too-good-to-be-true* response to Nardil, bring me back into social phobia in a way I didn't felt even before starting Nardil AND send me, in a couple months, into the deepest depression of my life. YMMV (may and WILL vary, hopefully)
> In other news, I ordered pharmaceutical grade Oxytocin and will do a self-trial over the course of the next couple weeks to see the effects on social phobia and reward. I'll keep everyone posted.
D-Cycloserine and now Oxytocin ? You're my new social phobic hero! Wow.. I wish I had the $ to try Oxytocin.. Snorting or injecting ? Do you think Risperdal could interfer with your trial ?
