Hi. I recently had to stop Celexa after almost 2 years of success because it caused me to stop urinating. I tried Prozac and it causes it too now. I am told that all SSRIs will cause this in my case now. My doc wanted to try tricyclics so he gave me desipramine and it caused tachycardia and hypotension, which I read a lot of the tricyclics can cause. I am scared to try anything else but I am miserable. My current meds are Topamax 50 mg 2x day (the dose is so low because after 2 years I think it has almost destroyed my memory) and Ativan .5mg up to 3x day but I rarely ever take it because I don't want to be dependent on it. My dx is bipolar, panic/anxiety, but my old doc thought I was borderline personality disorder not bipolar. Also I don't take antipsychotics because they say "may cause sudden unexpained death" in the patient information leaflet and that freaks me out.
