You've been through a lot of tough times and a search for a proper medication system and more importantly, the reconnection with the outside world and more socialisation. Because, though I hate the term, and I have personal conditions that I know defy it, "causation does not imply correlation."
People in the schizophreniform spectrum, for example, for an AP use, may have positive (which is not what it sounds like -- agitation, etc) symptoms that are not due to medications.
Yes -- if there is evidence of increased psychosis that wasn't there before and isn't characteristic of the individual, after a month it -may- not be the best medication.
But unfortunately it can be a longer wait to see larger effects from APs, atypical or not, could take up to three months or more. We don't know everything about these medications nor schizophrenia (or bipolar for that matter).
