I am convinced that Klonopin can be depressogenic, although not for everyone. It was for me. Klonopin has a poorly understood effect on serotoninergic neurons. If it is pro-serotoninergic, one might expect a reduction in dopaminergic neurotransmission along pathways responsible for pleasure and libido.
