thanks blueboy

I have been off it now for a week and I certainly feel better mentally, it was making me very edgy and I was having to stop myself acting out my irritations on others. It also gave me a mild but constant headache and I generally felt strange but did not realise it when I was taking it.

As for the skin, I was also on Differn acne gel and it has been very sunny here recently. I have very fair skin with a lot of freckles and never had a tan in my life. The colour change is only on the skin that I applied the gel to so I think that in combination with the sun has made it turn a muddy brown colour.

However, I do have some blueish-purleish marks on my lips which appeared at the same time and because of those I have been referred to a Dermatologist. I think that was the minocycline that I have been on and off of since the mid-90's (I have also had 2 course of roaccutane/accutane). Unfortunately there is a 18 week wating list to see an NHS Dermatologist but i suppose on the other side they would want me to wait quite a while before they bring out a laser to see if the marks disappear with time.

I had been really worried that the lips marks and the face colour change was the same thing, I will not know for sure if it is definitely the Differin as it will take a good 4-6 weeks to fade so I have been told.

James
