In some cases, an opioid would help. Buprenorphine has some properties that may make it ideal, as it produces a greater dopamine increase that morphine, and has fewer side effects.
It should be remembered that many dopaminergic agents are inspecific and boost noradrenaline to a similar extent. In these cases, it may be helpful to add guanfacine to the mix.
