It may be that Lamictal is not a good drug for you. Reverse field and start the antidepressant of your choice first - perhaps one that you experienced a partial improvement to - and add Lamictal afterwards to see how you react to it. If you still react to the Lamictal badly, then, as was suggested, you might want to go for Depakote if there is any hint of mania, including a mixed episode.

What was your diagnosis before your reaction to Lamictal? What have you tried so far? How did you react?
