> So glad you are feeling better. The diarrhea plus the several meds that can cause hypotension probably added up to a very bad day. As I remember, your BP runs rairly low anyway. Then when it goes much lower, you're going to feel sick. My BP runs borderline high, so the Nardil for me acts as a blood pressure medication and lowers it from 10 to 20 points. Keeps me off of the diaretics and beta blockers. I used to use trazodone for sleep. Now I'm on a very low dose of Seroquel(25mg), works every night for me. I may experiment with Traz again sometime, see what it feels like now. It used to really knock me for a loop, but then so does Seroquel.

Hi,I am better today but having spells of depression and more scared than usual. I wonder if it could be from lowering the dose of Nardil for only two days. Seems hard to believe but there's nothing else to which to attribute it.
I bought a blood pressure monitor so I could keep track of how low my BP was going. Imagine my surprise when I found out that my BP in general is way too high. I'm getting readings of from 140 to 180 most of the day. Then this morning when I first got up I measured it because I felt very faint and it was 90/60 or so. Then I measured it standing when I felt really faint and it was 50/35. Sometimes when I feel faint and as if it's low, I measure it and it's high instead. I just don't understand. Can high blood pressure make you feel dizzy as well as low BP?
I called my internist and told him how it was fluctuating and he is setting me up for a tilt table test. I know it's from the Nardil. My BP always ran around 105/65 pretty steadily until I started taking Nardil. Now it's wildly abnormal in both ways. Go figure.
