Welcome back. I've only been recently sporadically back as well.
I agree with everything the others said. 40mg dextroamphetamine *might* be ok with the Nardil, but you should definitely not start out that high. I would agree that 2.5 or MAYbe 5mg would be appropriate to start out, and slowly increase.
And it certainly is possible to feel Nardil in less than one week. Keep in mind that if you feel a case of even worse depression creep up within that first month (after feeling the "Nardil response"), it will pass shortly (after few days or so). It's only your receptors adapting. You might not have that at all though.
I have atypical (at least mostly atypical) depression and SP as well, along with some other crap. I don't know how you can handle Zyprexa. I think that would be a straight immobile zombie drug for me (judging from other APs and the fact that its highly antihistaminic).
You dont have to answer that was mostly rhetorical.
Anyway good luck to you.

I also have a prescription for dextroamphetamine 40 mg a day and I am taking the Dexedrine together with the Nardil although I just started Nardil, and maybe my levels of MAO are not very much inhibited yet. I'm wondering how safe it is to combine the two. Also, I've taken Nardil before at 90 mg and didn't find it did very much, but I think I'm already feeling it on less than one week. Could the Zyprexa be potentiated it? Like how Prozac and Zyprexa are synergistic. Also, last time I took Nardil, I only stayed on 90 mg for about three weeks. How long can it take for it to kick in? And just in case you're wondering, I'm taking it for atypical depression and social phobia, and all that that entails.
