Transdermal and sublingual selegiline result in much higher blood concentrations that oral dosing, primarily because first-pass metabolism (which also results in more l-amph/l-methamphetamine metabolites) is avoided.

Roughly, 6 mg of the patch is reported to correspond to 20mg orally, 9mg to 30, 12mg to 40.

I don't have a problem with dietary restrictions myself but there are some reports here that despite early FDA restrictions that the diet may not even be relevant for the higher patch dosages. There's a lot of threads here on EMSAM, might be worth doing a search.
