but...why?

In reply to Brief vent about Pharmacist..., posted by Racer on August 27, 2007, at 19:21:38

I don't get it. Lots of meds are scheduled. Ritalin and Adderall and Concerta are all on the top 200 rx list...Vicodin, schedule III, is in the top 10. And then there are sleeping pills, head ache meds, even epilepsy stuff (phenobarbital, for instace) that are controlled.
I just dont get it. Pharmacists are weird, though; this one pharmacy near me refused to stock Plan B back when it was an rx b/c the pharmacist was "opposed" to it b/c of some religious reason or something. I mean...who cares? Why should customers have to deal with this stuff? Just stock the meds and fill the scripts.

Sorry about your experience. Does your insurance company have a pharmacy? In some states, they're allowed to do 3months fills, even for schedule II meds...could save you time and money and frustration.
