I weaned off effexor (in only one week) a few weeks ago after being on it about 2 months. I felt pretty lousy, flu-like and grumpy for about a week, but not bad enough to stop me from working. Maybe cause I wasn't on it all that long. I've also weaned off Paxil a couple times before after a year and similar but maybe not as bad as effexor. I usually do it quickly to get it over with. I don't get the withdrawl till I've completely stopped. I guess I'm lucky compared to some of the people I've read about. I've now on Parnate and never come off it but I haven't read too many horror stories coming off it.
