Palpitations can be from an irregular heart rate or skipped beats, it all depends what the cause of the palpitations are. They may be controlled to some extent with an anti-anxiety med but your doctor should know about them to determine if they need to be worked up. I occasionally have palpitations but having them occur frequently is more of a concern. They are usually not related to BP but if they signal either a low or high heart rate they can offect the BP.
Count your pulse for a minute. It should be of a regular rate without skipped beats and between 60 and 100 beats per minute to be considered normal.
Did you tell your doctor about the palpitations? He or she should either be concerned or not and know whether it is safe to increase the Nardil because of it.
Anything related to the heart, aka cardiac status, has to be paid attention to.
