I don't have the med experience or knowledge to help you out. But I do have a thought or two about taking meds in general. I think that anxiety about taking medication and how you might react is part of this. Is that right?If so, I wonder if maybe making a list of possible side effects in general, not med specific, and then sort of rating them on how tolerable/not tolerable they are might help. It's so much information about meds and what side effects are common with which ones. Maybe if you had it sorted out for yourself which ones you can cope with and which ones are "deal breakers", perhaps that would help you select a good treatment?
Just as an example...one of the side effects from Nardil I experience is hyperreflexia. I can tolerate that, in fact it's actually amusing for minutes at a time. :) But akathisia is a "deal-breaker" for me. I can't imagine any therapeutic benefit that would be strong enough to counter akathisia.
What do you think? Wacky or what?
