John Ratey describes using low doses of ipramine or desipramine for ADHD. When you take impramine how does it affect your Ritalin use? Do you find that you need less Ritalin to have the same therapeutic effect?> 150 mg. Other than the dry mouth do have any other side-effects? It's not stimulating for me, in fact it makes me drowsy.

Ritalin/Methylphenidate can be very reinforcing (Sweden banned it in 1968) and i was/knew i was seeking relief i guess, self medicating because i found relief from depression i was undoubtly dealing with, needless to say i would run out early and plunge into neverland.

The dry mouth is the major problem-to the annoying point where i couldn't talk for more than a few sentences until i had to drink water to be able to, also orthostatic hypotension (low BP) was a problem-i fell to the floor, passed out at one point. A Psych said one could go up to 300mgs- not me.
