That corresponds with my personal experience. ADs have done little or nothing for me, but we're still trying them.

I noticed that the one study posted revealed that mood stabilizer plus placebo was just as effective as mood stabilizer plus AD. Perhaps it may have been that the participants were so accustomed to dealing with the miserable side effects of typical ADs that they were pleasantly surprised by their absence when taking the placebos, thereby skewing the study.
