It takes a very dedicated and persistent
doctor to go from drug to drug and class to
class, for the patient's sake. And a patient patient. But I think
that given the ambiguity and personal idiosyncracy of the patient's mental state/illness, it may yield results in the end. Right now, drug therapy is a crapshoot and the DSM is a rough road map, still being chartered.I was extremely lucky, and again serendipity helped as the first AD gave me hives. The second one (li) followed a presentation of a completely different state (bipolar symptoms). Even then, the drs. were not sure *that* would work. It did, within a week.
