Hi I've been on Nardil for most of the past 10 years. I have stopped a few times for other medication trials that were fruitless. I have seen others post that they have been on Nardil for twenty or twenty-five years. The medication was,I believe, first synthesized in the late fifties and is still one of the best meds for treatment resistant depression, atypical depression, general and social anxiety. Makes me wonder what science has been doing the past fifty years!

PS I was off Nardil for another trial in 2003, so I did not feel a direct effect. The diet restrictions are pretty easy for me. Over the years I have found what affects me and what doesen't. Aged cheeses are the worse, and over the counter cold remedies are almost all contraindicated(Do a lot of research).> I'm curious to find out about people who have found long-term success on Nardil. Please say how long you have been on it and what you are taking it for (i.e. diagnosis). And how did the change in 2003 affect you? How difficult were the diet restrictions? Thanks, Michael
