like the other poster said, "borderline" may often be a form of bipolar w/ marked interpersonal problems. I would personally think some sort of low-dose mood stabilizer would be a first course, plus some sort of therapy (group, individual, counselling, self-help..something) to help you out.
Personally, if I were you, I'd try to emphasize the non-medical treatment aspects...its a tougher road, but for personality disorders and some mood/anxiety disorders, the pay offs can be longer-lasting and more profound.
Some boredlines take neuroleptics. I personally think that's overkill, but I imagine a low-dose neuroleptic as-needed (if you need it) might be an option.Good luck!
