Wellbutrin should be combined with other agents that reduce the seizure threshold extremely cautiously, and those include Prozac.

Wellbutrin SR/XR decrease this risk a fair bit from the original Wellbutrin but it is still present. It is not a terribly recommended combination without a doctor aware of these issues, not to mention that Prozac will be in your body for 35 days and this cannot be altered should you have problems.


An SSRI with a much shorter half life such as Paxil would be a better choice for a skilled psychopharmacologist to even attempt to combine. A small dose of any AED, Klonopin, etc, would also be a good idea.

Cymbalta would probably be a better choice, although it doesn't have a high dopamine profile, or Wellbutrin alone if it serves your purpose.
