People with depression often feel isolated and yearn for contact, but can find no way of satisfactorily experiencing it. For one reason or another, attempts at contact are rebuffed or not taken up. (This is just my opinion and is certainly not meant as a criticism.)
If people with depression could actually find some/more satisfying personal contact it would do a proportion of them the world of good.
I don't want to start or engage in another nature/nurture/biological/psychological thingo.
It's just my response to this thread.
