There are research studies going on with OCD, listed at the OC Foundation:http://www.ocfoundation.org/research-participants-sought.html
The OC Foundation is a good place to start for OC resources.
I had one of the worst OCD episodes in terms of YBOCS scales in high school so I know what it is like to suffer silently. I am a ficticious anonymous "combination character" in a book I will not name but is a collection of OCD stories. Eventually I was hospitalized and was in a day treatment program. I didnt really start medication until I was "partially well" actually.
Side effects are always a tradeoff. It is unfortunate that most SSRIs will give some degree of sexual side effects. I hear doctors are augmenting with a slight bit of Wellbutrin among other things. I know when I was on Wellbutrin for depression I was horny as hell so there is some truth to this I'm sure.Best wishes
