The feeling for me was a bit like having the first alcoholic drink on a Friday night. I felt my body relax and mentally everything felt well under control and I felt very comfortable with myself for the first time in a long while. I couldn't understand why I had been so worried about everything. In fact I'd say it was the first time I'd felt like a 'normal' rational person for a very long time.

Side effects if you take too much are drowsiness and tiredness. Maybe dizziness if you really overdo it or you have a balance problem to begin with. It's a sliding scale similar to alcohol, in fact it may be helpful to think of the benzo as dry alcohol for this purpose. It will very likely have a similar effect to those beers you enjoy in the eveing. Any unwanted effects will wear off within a few hours in any case with Oxazepam being short acting.

It is safe to take benzos with moderate amounts of alcohol, it just takes less alcohol to have the same effect. So you can save a bit on your beer money if you feel inclined ;-)
