When I was on remeron for a number of years I tried both Dexedrine & Adderall to curb appetite increase. they did help, but Remeron also altered my metabolism so I believe some weight gain is unavoidable. Hopefully like me you won't be too distressed by it, and the positive benefits will outweight the side effects.

Taking some amino acid and mineral supplements will definitely help with the carb and sugar cravings. L-glutamine (fights carb cravings) and chromium (fights sugar cravings) helped me a ton. Regular exercise, too.
