They now sell OTC freezing preparations, similar to those but not quite as powerful, that one would have done at a dermatologist. Personally, the idea of a freezing preparation in the hands of someone who could accidentally freeze their cornea scares me but there are lots of things out there OTC that have dangers, and yet we now have to sign a poison record for Sudafed [end soapbox].

I would suggest a dermatologist appointment if your healthcare plan supports it and it is disturbing or painful enough to warrant it.
