> Jay I haven't escalated the dose. I'm still at 20mg of valium. She did give me that new dissoving xanax to try during the day but I didn't take it during the day. Tried it once .5mg and it did nothing.
.5mg of Xanax is not actually a lot in terms of Valium equivalency, it is 5mg of Valium, which you are used to. But it has an "immediacy" effect that Valium (especially over time) lacks as much.
> Don't laugh but I'm only at 25mg of luvox. I had gotten up to l50mg a few months ago before I went back to her from the other pdoc. So when I saw her she lowered it to 25mg. Who knows why.
I'm not laughing, it is between you and your doctor but 25mg is really almost a placebo for Luvox, even though it has a wide dosage range, it basically is just a test dose to see that you're not allergic to it. Now one may think that someone older may need less, that's possible, but I don't think that much less.
> And I don't really have OCD. I just do things my way. No counting, handwashing, but I guess the fact that I'm worrying all the time could be considered rumination. And I am horrible til at least 2pm.I'm the opposite with problems, evening is the worst...
I wasn't saying you had OCD, I was saying its used for augmentation. But its also equally used for other anxiety conditions. But your summary of rumination is slightly in that spectrum.
So I'm not taking seroquel till the test results are back.
I understand.
He did all the thyroid stuff
That's one I get fairly regularly..
, and since autoimmune diseases run in my family and my Mother had Addison's disease and psoriasis all over her body and rheumatoid arthritis, he is also doing cortisol levels and it was through blood and since I had a small adenoma through MRI on my pituitary a bunch of pituitary tests.
MRIs can reveal benign conditions too because of their level of investigation; mine revealed I had evidence of past sinus disease.
Cortisol is usually through urine because blood is inaccurate, it fluctuates too much and you use a jar the whole day. That's surprising. Mine came back normal but it is usually an invasive test.

It can be done by blood but it has to be done at several times in the day and from what I know it isn't as accurate. But your health professional may think otherwise.
He even asked if I lactated. Did'nt know this was from the pituitary answer is no. Love Phillipa
