Good luck at your appt. When I first took Effexor it was so stimulating that I had to add the clonazepam to take care of the residual anxiety the activation created. Then I started doxepin with them both to combat insomnia. I no longer need to take the doxepin for sleep. Lyrica with the others helps me relax enough and works on the pain enough to get me through the night soundly. I think you my be right too about not needing as much Valium with the Effexor and Lyrica because of the way Valium and Effexor act together. And then you have the effects of the Lyrica which may be less stimulating for you too.
