Wow Scott! That was very encouraging, thoughtful, and therapuetic to read. I greatly appreciate your genuinely compassionate and intimately reassurring support. Although I have tried any and all psych meds over the course of the past six years, my course of treatment has been very haphazard, lacking a cohesive, objective, organized, or "scientific" approach to med trials. I retain no accurate records on the clinical changes or results of my constantly changing med trials. As a result, while I may have had virtually every known psych med in my system at one time or another, I have no objective record-keeping or accurate recollection of specific experiences with various meds. All my med trials just blend together into a murky, insufficiently documented history of failures, peppered with recollections of feeling significantly improved for a day or two here or there. Throw in a course of ECT treatments which hijacked much of my memory, and I end up having very minimal objective advice to give people trying various meds, despite my sunstantial psych med history. So I feel bad for having so much experience, but so little in terms of preactical, usable advice for a person. What you wrote has helped me to not obsess about my shortcomings, and just look to help in the minor manor I can here and there. Thanks for inviting so much warmth and good will into this babble community.
