(I am sorry for my poor english)
I take xanax 2mg two times a day, paxil 50mg in the morning (since 8 weeks), and trazodone 50mg for sleep.
I have been on paxil and xanax since 1998 to June of 2006, and It went well, but in the last years I felt that the paxil wasn’t doing the antidepressant effects that It did in the first years, so I decided to change to nardil, I took nardil 6 weeks but it didn’t kick in, and provoked insomnia, so I went to the med, and back to put me again in paxil and xanax, with trazodone 50mg for sleep, but I have been 8 weeks taking it and I still feel depressed.
Do you think that trazodone can have interfered with paxil doing it ineffective? So I don’t sleep as well as the years before without trazodone. Maybe the fact that I am not capable of sleep only with paxil and xanax like before makes paxil ineffective because when I was sleeping well my brain was producing more serotonin during the sleep time?
What is the limit time of a ssri to kick in? Wait more or change for Effexor in example? Please help me I have passed this last two months with suicide thinks and very depressed. Thank you.
