Did you mean hypertensive?

I'm sad to hear that there have been any incidents. I would have thought that the combination would be safe. To my knowledge, Provigil does not act at the NE synapse. Early claims that it was a NE alpha-1 agonist were determined to be in error. Perhaps there has been more recent work to demonstrate NE snyaptic activity. I don't know. It really doesn't matter, though. The induction of hypertensive events with MAOIs are not completely understood, so we are sometimes relegated to judge safety simply by what we see clinically. If one event with Provigil is reported, it goes on the list.

Where did you hear of the Provigil-induced hypertensive event?
