brain zaps while on celexa

Posted by pahole on September 4, 2006, at 16:46:15

I would like to know if anyone experienced those brain zaps while taking celexa?
I am on Celexa for about 11 months now. The beginning has been very difficult and it took me 4 months to build a dosage up to, only 15 mg per day. I stayed on it, and it helped me a lot. I had GAD and severe panic attacks, daily. While adjusting on Celexa I started having brain zaps, surges or whatever you like to call them, but it lasted only a few weeks. Now, in the last months or so, I started having those again. I am not withdrawing, nor I changed anything really to my medication list. I am thinking the worst..brain tumor, seizure, stroke...These surges last a second or so, they literaly flash through my brain from down to up...and they leave me so scared! Please help if anyone had similar experioences. Thanks!
