Hi Cairo.
Thanks for the suggestions and the well-wishes.
> As for Fibromyalgia pain, much of my pain comes from muscle tightness and trigger points. Lyrica helps some initially, then goes away, as I've said. But I know of someone who says it has made all the difference in the world for her FMS pain. I have anxiety/panic issues going on now, so I may be a different subset of FMS.
Well, that really stinks. Despite my adverse experience with it, I have seen a video demonstrating the effectiveness of sibutramine (Meridia) in the treatment of FMS on actual patients. The doctor who advocates its use here is Peter Mueller, MD in Princeton, NJ. On a simplistic level, it is an SNRI like Effexor or Cymbalta (both of which I'm sure you've explored). It does separate itself from those two drugs pharmacologically, though. One person who responded favorably showed dramatic improvements in pain and trigger points, energy, cognition, and depressed mood and dysphoria.
