Linkadge, I always am worse in the mornings. It is quite common. I have a feeling of gloom and doom and start ruminating on everything bad in my life before I get out of bed. Why?
One reason for this is that our cortisol, and related neurochemistry, are activated when we wake up. It's part of the system that actually wakes us up in fact. I don't know the solution to it. I was blaming the benzo withdrawal at first but I think it is very common for many, many people with anxiety/depression. It's the cortisol I believe.
