effexor xr and zoloft

I have been on Zoloft for 25 years, tried others Zoloft worked the best then. I am taking 200 mg a day, still depressed and have been crawling in a hole and don't care at all to do anything. Can you take both Zoloft and Effexor XR or do you stop the zoloft?
