I take Remeron. I take it at night. 15 mg. It does make me sleepy, but I feel ok in the morning IF I get 8-9 hours sleep. If I get only 7 hours or less, I feel sleepy the next day. I have a deadline-oriented job where I have to focus and concentrate a lot, and I can do it fine with Remeron at night, as long as I get enough sleep.
As I recall, it took me several weeks to stop feeling sleepy throughout the day. I was so depressed when I starting taking it, I really don't remember much else, but I think I was drowsy.
The hungriness never seems to go away. I have to keep telling myself "you're not still hungry, that's the remeron talking."
But I'm looking forward to the sex part the previous poster mentioned! I haven't had a chance yet to "test drive" things.
One thing I do know for sure, the times I have been off of it and gone back on it when an episdoe of depression came back, the Remeron seemed to kick me out of that depression quite quickly.
I have this love/hate thing with it, because of how it can kick me out of a depression vs. the terrible munchies.
