I should say about "12 o'clock" : it's an extreme position and not necesary for everyone by any means. My brother and I are both very sensitive to caffeine, which allegedly can stay active in anyone for 6-8 hours- and we've both done much better by cutting caffeine by noon. But we are extremely sensitive and we know it.I've got a friend who can have a jumbo cup of coffee at night and promptly fall asleep and stay asleep all night, no problem.
Interestingly, when I tried that "5 hour" ritalin I could easily detect it as much as 8-10 hours later. We're all different.
> I'm only about average in sensitivity to caffeine, but since I started limiting caffeine to before noon, it's made a huge difference to me. Honestly, caffeine does more to wreck my sleep than any of the stims I've taken. I can take Provigil, or Ritalin, or Dexedrine, or whatever at 3 or 4 in the afternoon, and sleep fine. But caffeine?
