I've heard of it too. As long as you stay below 4 mgs. a day, you aren't in that much danger of becoming addicted. There's probably some tolerance, and withdrawal if you go off, but addicted, I guess, in the sense that you're really caught in a upward spiral, with great difficulty getting off.
I've taken 1-2 mg. for quite a while (5-6 years). Sometimes--very rarely-- I might take 2.5, but mostly around 1-1.5 mg.
