I think the idea is that social phobia is correlated with lowered dopamine, so raising it (with bupropion, stimulants, etc) can actually be beneficial. But I am sure that there can be wide variations in individual reactions.

That gets my vote. It's possible the med change is making your moods unstable. I don't know if it would iron out over time or not, but it's worth looking at this aspect. Either stop and restart the Parnate, or try to smooth over the transition with a tweak on your mood stabilizers. Or both.
