ROFL! I've been using one for about 4 years. I'm 46, which I know is somewhat *old* to you, since I could easily be your mom...but hey, they say 60 is the new 40, so does that mean 40 is the new 20 and I can consider myself *actually* 26...?....I think NOT! ;-) I suppose at one time, I probably thought that, too, about the little boxes. It's a natural thing to presume, I think. But...(see below)...

Yup. That is one exellent reason. For me, it was that I was already taking a vitamin, calcium supplement, and a couple other natural-type things. Then, my regular doc added 2 blood meds back in 2002. Later, an AD for a while, and now, just the BP meds, Strattera for ADD, some naproxen to fight joint inflammation and some vitamins/supps. Well, any way you look at it, those are a lot of pills. So who wants to mess with all those bottles? Not me. With the daily boxes, you fill it once a week and you're done. No reading labels, no getting distracted and maybe taking two of something, or none at all if you forget what you're doing....
So, it eliminates the bottle-handling hassle (and its inherent margin for error) as well as being great for absent-mindedness.
Another thing I do, is each Sunday (or whatever day you fill it) I can check the number of refills on the rx'd things as I open the bottles. If I'm on the last refill I will *always* call in a refill right then and there (my pharmacy has an automated system you can use 24/7.) No running out because I didn't notice.
Come join us plastic pill-box users, Deneb! Hey, with your artistic talent, I'll bet you could decorate yours and make it all beautiful. And remember, older is quite often wiser, too!

...well, gee, there just might be something in my bag for you in Toronto....;-)
