I doubt anything that is anti-histimine, like trazodone or remeron or tricyclic is going to help for long. And if the benzos haven't helped, then maybe take SLS's suggestion of specific ones and at whatever dose does the job. Other than that, I think the only way is to temporarily block the dopamine receptors and the 5ht2 receptors, which means antipsychotic. Zyprexa or seroquel. In my own experience, and in just viewing posts here, zyprexa seems to keep its sedating qualities for a very long time, whereas seroquel's often wears off requiring higher doses.
