Hi BPS.
> I'm currently on seroquel and lithium but its not enought to control the cycling from depression into an agitated anxious state.... I've tried trileptal and tegretol and both send me into a very nice hypomanic state for a week and then stop working...
I think it is important to prevent the hypomania so as to break the cycle. You can try Lamictal in combination with lithium. Lamictal is thought to help treat rapid cyclicity. My other thought is to use Zyprexa as an antimanic. Both of these drugs also offer antidepressant properties. In fact, they are both known to have produced mania on rare occasions. Of the atypical APs, I believe Zyprexa has the best chance of working. If it does work, and you are unhappy with side effects, then you can try substituting for it by using Seroquel or Abilify in its place.
