These are rather scientific journal explanations so if you're not familiar with terms, they may not provide an answer. I can't provide a succinct answer, because there isn't in fact one in the scientific community.

The receptor subtypes are rather complicated to explain, even I can't quite give you a summary, but the D1 and D5 family are grouped together, and D2 contains D2,D3, and D4 and are also grouped, I think -- but I could be wrong -- at least from one explanation
