Dopamine agonists usually inhibit lactation very quickly. Cabergoline, quinagoline and bromocriptine are all effective. Ropinirole (ReQuip) and pramipexole (Mirapex) would also be expected to lower prolactin and inhibit lactation, but they haven't been studied for this purpose.
