Cymbalta pain relief -- question

Posted by Sarah T. on December 15, 2005, at 22:53:09

I've heard that Cymbalta/duloxetine is supposed to be effective for pain relief. Does anyone know the mechanism behind this alleged benefit? In the past, when I tried ssri's, I didn't experience pain relief, so I'm assuming that the pain relief provided by Cymbalta must be from its norepinephrine reuptake inhibiting properties. Any ideas?
