hey! 150mgs of Mellaril isn't all that much...I think the dosage was usually capped at 700mgs for Mellaril, so you're not looking at a terribly high dosage of antipsychotic. The weight thing is concerning...have you thought about Geodon? I think there are still some diabetes issues, but its more or less weight neutral. The big problem would be the potential for cardiovascular stuff, but Mellaril does the same thing so if your mother made it through that without problems...I'd think she'd be fine. Good luck!
