Hey! Antipsychotics have been used a good bit ever since they were first introduced to help with anxiety/depression...the *problem* is that they can sometimes make both conditions worse, although the atypicals (theoretically) help more with depression. When I took Seroquel, for instance, at one point I broke down sobbing and screaming after my nite time dose...it was *horrible*. Apparently, the older meds--haldol, thorazine, etc.--sometimes give patients full-blown anxiety attacks when used for control of psychosis. So, if Zyprexa's causing problems, and you're not psychotic, perhaps you should discontinue it and avoid neuroleptics in the future. Good luck!
